A web-based educational environment, Audubon’s Wild Wings: Heading North, used GIS to generate graphic maps tracking ten snow geese along a thousand-mile migration. Users participated in a real scientific study employing weather and topographical data and counsel from USFWS scientists.
A virtual house game for World Wildlife Fund, where the play focused on the environmental impact of household products, and a virtual town, focused on community and the environment.
A health-care services and medical record tracking system for seniors with diabetes in New York City. The system advocated non-medical interventions like exercise and nutrition and tracked results.
A set of Flash games to help children identify asthma triggers and to know when and how to respond with medication. The games were entirely nonverbal for non-English speaking children.
A mobile database of graphical hate symbols, tattoos and insignia. The database is used by law enforcement to help identify hate crimes.
